Job Summary
ASE Technician with 1+ year automotive service experience responsible for diagnosis, repair, and maintenance across ASE-listed systems (engine, automatic/manual transmission, suspension/steering, brakes, electrical/electronic, heating and air conditioning). Maintain service work orders, perform MPI, participate in the 5-for-5 Customer Engagement process, and ensure safety and quality standards are met. Requires ASE G1, A4, and A5 certifications (or equivalent), state vehicle inspection license, and ongoing ASE certification as applicable. Typical schedule is 40 hours per week, hourly non-exempt classification, and adherence to shop safety and training programs. Responsibilities include safety compliance, proper parts handling, and maintenance of shop cleanliness and process standards.
Required Qualifications
- One year of related experience in automotive service field
- Completion of two-year college or technical school program recommended
- Or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Current, valid driver’s license issued in state of residence
- Equipment Safety Certification
- ASE Certification G1 – Maintenance and light repair recommended
- ASE Certification A4 – Suspension & Steering
- ASE Certification A5 – Brakes
- State Inspection License
