Job Summary
ASE Technician at VIP Automotive in Biddeford, ME. Responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining automotive systems across ASE categories (A1-A8) with emphasis on safe, first-time-right service. Duties include ensuring valid work orders, performing safety procedures, completing required training and certifications (ASE A1, A4, A5 and state inspections as applicable), and maintaining shop cleanliness and productivity targets. Must uphold VIP quality/service standards, participate in team meetings, and achieve prescribed productivity and safety requirements. This is a non-exempt, hourly role requiring 40 hours/week with in-person work at the Biddeford location.
Required Qualifications
- One year of related experience in automotive service field
- Completion of two-year college or technical school program recommended
- Current, valid driver’s license issued in state of residence
- Equipment Safety Certification
- ASE Certification G1 – Maintenance and light repair recommended
- ASE Certification A4 – Suspension & Steering
- ASE Certification A5 – Brakes
- State Inspection License
- Read, analyze, and interpret technical instructions, journal and procedures, or governmental regulations
- Ability to diagnose and recommend solutions to basic automotive problems
- Ability to perform required automotive services listed above
