Job Summary
ASE Technician responsible for diagnosing automotive systems, performing repair and maintenance services across ASE-designated areas (engine, transmission, suspension/steering, brakes, electrical, HVAC, engine performance), ensuring service work orders are initiated and completed, and maintaining safety, quality, and customer engagement standards. Requires ASE certifications (G1, A4, A5 or as specified), valid driver’s license, and readiness to complete required LMS training; role includes following shop processes, maintaining a clean work area, and achieving productivity metrics. Training and certification in tire service (BATS) and TPMS are part of the progression, with emphasis on safe operation and compliance with municipal, state, and federal regulations. Must pass safety requirements and participate in team meetings and ongoing professional development.
Required Qualifications
- One year of related experience in automotive service field
- Completion of two-year college or technical school program recommended
- Current, valid driver’s license issued in state of residence
- Equipment Safety Certification
- ASE Certification G1 – Maintenance and light repair recommended
- ASE Certification A4 – Suspension & Steering
- ASE Certification A5 – Brakes
- State Inspection License
- Possess ASE certifications as specified for Technician/Master Technician roles
- Ability to read and interpret technical instructions and procedures
