Job Summary
ASE Technician in Bedford NH responsible for diagnosing automotive systems, repairing and maintaining vehicles across ASE certifications, initiating and displaying Service Work Orders, performing safety protocols, and contributing to customer satisfaction. Duties include diagnosing automotive systems (A1-A8), ensuring proper work order documentation, completing required training and certifications (ASE G1, A4, A5; state inspection; BATS/TPMS as needed), following safety and quality standards, and delivering service with a focus on first-time right repairs and team collaboration. The role requires reading and applying technical instructions, explaining vehicle information to customers, and maintaining ASE certification status. Typical schedule is a 5-day workweek at 40 hours, with hourly pay.
Required Qualifications
- One year of related experience in automotive service field
- Completion of two-year college or technical school program recommended
- Current, valid driver’s license issued in state of residence
- Equipment Safety Certification
- ASE Certification G1 – Maintenance and light repair recommended
- ASE Certification A4 – Suspension & Steering
- ASE Certification A5 – Brakes
- State Inspection License
- Read, analyze, and interpret technical instructions, journal and procedures, or governmental regulations
- Explain vehicle information to customers, present and respond to questions
- Diagnose and recommend solutions to basic automotive problems
