Job Summary
ASE Technician responsible for diagnosing automotive systems and performing repairs across ASE-listed areas (engine repair, automatic transmission, manual drive train, suspension/steering, brakes, electrical/electronic systems, heating/air conditioning, engine performance). Ensures service work orders are initiated, follows safety and quality policies, and maintains required ASE certifications with emphasis on safety, accuracy, and customer communication. Duties include safe vehicle handling, road testing when needed, parts management, and adherence to shop processes and productivity metrics. Requires an associate-level technical program or equivalent experience and ASE/G1, A4, and A5 certifications (or equivalents) with state inspection license and a valid driver’s license; typical schedule is 40 hours/week in a non-exempt hourly role.
Required Qualifications
- Current, valid driver’s license issued in state of residence
- Equipment Safety Certification
- ASE Certification G1 – Maintenance and light repair recommended
- ASE Certification A4 – Suspension & Steering
- ASE Certification A5 – Brakes
- State Inspection License
