Job Summary
Non-exempt Float Dental Assistant at ASDOH on the Mesa, AZ campus. Responsibilities include assisting students/residents and/or faculty; maintaining supplies and operatories in the surgery department; managing suction Lines and DUWL; participating in weekly student meetings; transporting instruments to sterilization and performing clinic-closure tasks; processing biopsies (Oral/Perio Surgery); contributing to staff and departmental meetings; providing feedback on supply usage and potential cost savings; continuing education attendance; CPR and X-Ray certification required; 2-3 years dental assisting experience preferred (CDA preferred); experience with EHR; OSHA, infection control, HIPAA knowledge; strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills; flexible with assignments; able to work independently and in a group.
Required Qualifications
- Must be CPR and X-Ray certified.
- Must have 2-3 years previous dental assisting experience, CDA preferred.
- At least one year electronic healthcare records (EHR) software experience.
- Knowledgeable in OSHA standards, aseptic procedures, HIPAA regulations, sterilization, infection control, and all dental procedures and supplies.
