Job Summary
ASD Program Consultant provides direct support and consultation for Livingston ESA center-based Pathway School programs, offering training, coaching, and collaboration to help educators implement evidence-based strategies for students on the autism spectrum. Responsibilities include supporting students with complex communication needs (AAC), participating in teams to analyze student data, promoting least restrictive environments, assisting referrals to community agencies, delivering professional learning, representing the Livingston Educational Autism Network, and supporting school-based transitions while developing peer-to-peer programs and knowledge of district-related autism initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in education or a field of study related to special education
- Minimum of three years satisfactory teaching experience, or at least five years of experience implementing research-based strategies for students on the Autism spectrum
- Certificate or licensure requirements per Michigan LARA rules and regulations
- Michigan teaching certificate with an endorsement in special education
- Teacher Consultant eligibility preferred
- CPR certification preferred
