Job Summary
Maintain assigned school premises in clean and orderly conditions through sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, scrubbing floors, waxing, and polishing. Clean washrooms, replace supplies, and service windows, lights, diffusers, and walls. Perform snow removal, ice clearing, lawn mowing, and general grounds maintenance to ensure security of school premises during evening shifts, weekends, and off-hours. Work Monday to Friday and weekends, with shifts ranging from 6:30am to 3:00pm or 3:00pm to 11:30pm. Requires Grade 12 completion, own safety boots, and ability to work independently across 40 schools.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent (GED)
- Proven ability to organize and carry out assigned custodial duties
- Ability to cordially work with the public and school staff
- Good physical condition
- Must be able to provide own safety boots
- Valid class 5 driver's license issued by the Province of New Brunswick and own use of transportation
- Must provide a criminal record check prior to being hired
