The Surgical Technician assists Surgeons and healthcare professionals during surgeries, maintaining a sterile environment, preparing patients and surgical equipment, and passing instruments during operations. Candidates must hold a high school diploma or GED, have 2 years of experience as a surgical technician, and possess relevant certification. Strong interpersonal skills, the ability to manage multiple tasks, and excellent communication skills are essential.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 2 years’ experience working as a surgical technician
- Certification as a surgical technologist or similar experience in practical nursing or an operating room
- Current Basic Life Support certificate
- CPR Certified
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of medical terminology and human anatomy
- Demonstrated knowledge of operation and maintenance of equipment and supplies located in the operation room
