Job Summary
ASC Systems Engineer provides on-site and remote IT support for Ambulatory Surgery Centers, coordinating with ITS teams, vendors, biomedical and ASC leadership; supports desktops, printers, mobile devices, AV equipment, and clinical systems; ensures surgical equipment connectivity, participates in ASC technology projects, maintains documentation, and supports HIPAA/compliance while traveling to IBJI ASC locations. Responsibilities include troubleshooting hardware/software, network connectivity, device configuration (IP, VLAN), coordinating with vendors/clinical teams, supporting network infrastructure, and maintaining operational workflows with minimal patient care disruption.
Required Qualifications
- Education degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Networking, or related field preferred
- Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, Microsoft, Cisco, or similar are preferred
- 3 or more years of hands-on IT support, field service, desktop support, network support, or clinical technology support experience
- Experience troubleshooting Windows workstations, printers, peripherals, mobile devices, and network connectivity
- Working knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, wireless networking, cabling, and basic switch port troubleshooting
- Experience supporting Ambulatory Surgery Centers, hospitals, clinics, or other healthcare environments
- Experience connecting or supporting surgical, imaging, anesthesia, monitoring, or other clinical equipment
- Familiarity with biomedical equipment workflows and vendor coordination
- Experience with ITSM or ticketing systems such as ServiceNow, Zendesk, or similar platforms
- Familiarity with Google Workspace, Active Directory, endpoint management tools, and remote support platforms
- Soft skills: customer service, communication, documentation, problem-solving; ability to travel to IBJI ASC locations
- Physical ability to work on-site in ASC environments and lift/move IT equipment
- May require after-hours or weekend work for maintenance/go-lives
- Duties may evolve with needs
