Job Summary
Operates as part of the ASC instrument processing team, sterilizing and disinfecting instruments, maintaining sterilization equipment, and ensuring documentation accuracy. Performs aseptic technique, uses sterilizers and high-level disinfectors, supports patient care under the Clinical Leader/ Registered Nurse, aids in room turnover and OR prep, and follows infection control standards.
Required Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Successful completion of BCLS Course within 90 days of employment or current BCLS certification
- Prior experience as a surgical technologist/procedure technologist preferred
- Certification in instrument processing is preferred
- Must be able to travel to all sites if/when necessary
