ASC Director of Nursing

Direct, coordinate, and control all activities for patient and staff safety at the Friendship Ambulatory Surgery Center. Plan clinical services, develop policies, and manage daily surgical schedules and facility staffing. Oversee infection control, quality assurance, and benchmarking studies while conducting frequent rounds to ensure care continuity. Supervise staff, resolve conflicts, and manage department costs within allocations. Provide patient care when necessary, maintain nursing standards, and ensure accurate reporting of all local, state, and federal requirements. This exempt role requires a Registered Nurse with five years of management experience, an unrestricted Maryland license, and BLS/ACLS certification. Located in Chevy Chase, MD, the position involves extensive mobility, standing, and potential exposure to communicable diseases.
