Job Summary
Performs analysis of bulk samples to identify asbestos using PLM; prepares and analyzes environmental samples according to scientific methodology; accurately enters and reports analytical data into the LIMS; performs independent data reviews; supports QA processes, materials, and training; coordinates workloads and ensures timely delivery; participates in Lean initiatives; maintains laboratory stock and equipment, and assists in maintaining QA documents and accreditations. Demonstrates strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills to support clients and QA objectives in a busy laboratory setting.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in microbiology, biology, geology or a closely related science
- 0-1+ years of experience performing asbestos microscopy using Polarizing Light Microscope (PLM)
- Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
- Professional working proficiency in English
