Job Summary
Asbestos PLM Analyst (2nd Shift) analyzes asbestos-containing bulk samples using PLM, prepares and analyzes environmental samples, enters data into LIMS, performs independent data reviews, and supports QA processes. Responsibilities include quality control and data reporting, coordinating sample workload and hold times, maintaining QA documents, assisting in maintaining laboratory accreditations, providing training support, Lean initiatives participation, inventory management of lab supplies, and collaboration with co-workers across mycology, asbestos, bacteriology, and related services. Requirements include a Bachelor's degree in a closely related science and 0-1+ years of asbestos PLM experience, English proficiency, and ability to travel; compensation is $22-$28 per hour depending on experience with full-time evening shift expectations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in microbiology, biology, geology or a closely related science
- 0-1+ years of experience performing asbestos microscopy using Polarizing Light Microscope (PLM)
- Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
- Professional working proficiency in English, including reading, writing, and speaking in English
- Ability to travel for training
