Job Summary
Abatement Testing Services is seeking a licensed Sampling Technician to conduct asbestos and lead sampling in accordance with EPA, OSHA, and state regulations. Responsibilities include performing various types of sampling (bulk, dust, air, surface), maintaining detailed jobsite documentation, and coordinating with project managers, safety officers, and clients to ensure adherence to sampling schedules. Candidates must possess relevant certifications such as an Asbestos Worker or Supervisor Certificate and/or Lead Abatement Worker or Supervisor Certificate, and demonstrate field experience in sampling along with knowledge of regulatory protocols. The position offers a pay range of $23 to $26 per hour based on experience and credentials, along with potential overtime and benefits including medical, dental, and vision.
Required Qualifications
- Asbestos Worker or Supervisor Certificate – EPA or state accredited (AHERA compliance)
- Lead Abatement Worker or Supervisor Certificate – EPA or state accredited
- Lead Renovator (RRP) Certificate – EPA or state accredited
- Air Monitor (PCM/TEM) Certificate – NIOSH 582 or equivalent
- Sampling Technician – HAZWOPER 24/40 Hour plus Asbestos Awareness
Desired Qualifications
- HAZWOPER 40-Hour Certification (29 CFR 1910.120)
- Respirator Fit Test and Medical Clearance (29 CFR 1910.134)
- First Aid / CPR Certification
- Confined Space Entry Training
- XRF Analyzer Operator Certification (Lead Testing)
