Job Summary
Provide patient-centered, comprehensive primary care services and implement treatment plans for all patients. Supervise staff to ensure appropriate care and assist other care providers within the interdisciplinary team. Deliver continuous availability for medical questions, including after-hours coverage, and actively participate in quality improvement and multidisciplinary assurance programs. Submit individual patient care plans for physician review and prescribe or recommend therapeutic procedures as needed. Comply with all policies, protocols, and clinical outcome measurements while performing duties under physician direction. Requires 5 years of clinical experience in Internal Medicine or Family Practice, board certification, and state licensure.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience in Internal Medicine or Family Practice
- Must be Board Certified
- Must be licensed to practice in appropriate state
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
- Must be able to effectively communicate with patients and team members
- May require standing, walking and sitting for extended amounts of time
- Occasionally lift and carry items weighing up to 50 lbs
- Manual and finger dexterity and hand-eye coordination
- Includes full range of body motion including potential of handling and lifting patients
- Requires corrected vision, hearing and speech within normal ranges
- Must be able to effectively communicate with patients and team members
