Job Summary
Assist credentialed teachers by delivering standards-based arts activities, planning and prepping materials, and collaborating to integrate arts across the curriculum. Support student expression through diverse arts forms, supervise students in classroom settings, participate in professional development and department meetings, and work with VAPA and School Site staff to align with the 2023-2027 Strategic Arts Plan. Must meet pre-employment requirements (fingerprinting, TB testing) and have ability to relate to students, collaborate with teachers, and uphold safety standards.
Required Qualifications
- related Art experience
- Arts degree preferred
- Experience with students preferred
- Familiarity with California Arts Teaching Standards
- Ability to relate to children
- Collaboration with teachers and Arts Staff
- Proficiency in safety and emergency procedures
- Proficiency in Mandated Reporting and TB testing
- Pass District pre-employment requirements
