Job Summary
Plans, organizes, promotes, implements, and evaluates a diversified arts program for club members; prepares Youth for Success, promotes arts participation in designated programs, orients new members to the arts program and safety rules, supervises volunteers and program assistants, develops weekly/monthly plans, ensures safety and quality of programs, and may drive the club van. Daily duties include maintaining order, coordinating with visiting artists, monitoring supplies/budget, and participating in staff meetings; requires high school diploma or GED plus three years of youth-arts experience; strong communication, interpersonal skills, ability to motivate youth and manage behavior, and ability to plan/implement quality youth programs; daily afternoon/evening hours with occasional weekends and travel for events.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- Combined experience and/or formal training equivalent to minimum of three years where: (1) experience in working with youth and knowledge of youth development and (2) formal training, knowledge and/or experience in arts and crafts
