Job Summary
SAC Director provides high-level leadership to elevate arts across municipal government and community; leads arts planning, policy, programming, public events, and workforce development; oversees budgets, staff, and grant processes; collaborates with City departments, regional partners, and cultural organizations to expand access and visibility of arts and culture; serves on the Mayor’s Cabinet and liaises with the SAC Advisory Board and Local Cultural Council; requires strategic vision, fundraising, program development, and strong communication skills; salary $120,000–$124,800 with benefits; full-time, Somerville, MA.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in social sciences, arts management, humanities, or a related arts field
- five to ten (10) years’ experience, including at least three (3) years of supervisory experience
- Master’s degree preferred
