Artist Strategy Assistant

Job Summary
As part of Warner Music New Zealand, the Artist Strategy Assistant supports the Artist Strategy Managers and Executives in planning, implementing, and executing innovative, best-practice marketing plans for a massive international roster. You’ll help manage complex project lifecycles by acquiring campaign assets, coordinating advertising material and paid media briefing, and handling daily financial administration (purchase orders and invoices) in alignment with WMG processes. You’ll compile artist performance reports using WMG tools to track consumption and share insights with stakeholders, coordinate international communications (releases, local partner pitches, performance trends), and provide project administration for creative briefings and localisation of assets. You’ll contribute at artist and fan events with on-site support and vendor coordination, collaborate with the e-commerce team to develop value-added products across owned and D2C channels, and provide reception and administrative support as needed. The role emphasizes detail-oriented, organized support in a fast-paced, globally connected entertainment environment, with a passion for international music and diverse audiences.
Required Qualifications
- at least 1+ years of early-career level marketing or administrative experience within a creative environment, record label, or commercial entertainment industry
- experience handling financial administration (processing invoices, purchase orders, or budgeting)
- strong communication and collaboration skills
- interest in international music and digital/media landscapes
- ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- desire to contribute to marketing plans for international roster
- experience with coordinating assets for advertising and campaigns
- familiarity with global industry trends and social media platforms
- ability to assist in development and delivery of audience-centric marketing and artist strategies
- experience with coordinating releases and localisation of assets
