Job Summary
AI Policy and Safety Advisor leads policy development, governance, and risk-management initiatives for Oregon's enterprise AI program; works with Chief AI Officer to craft frameworks, evaluate policy changes, develop training programs, and collaborate with executives to drive responsible AI adoption, with emphasis on governance, communication, and strategic program development relevant to enterprise-scale AI initiatives. It requires strong policy development, evaluation, and communication skills, experience with AI platforms and risk-management frameworks, and the ability to build new programs in a dynamic government environment. This hybrid-remote role is based in Salem, Oregon, with in-office/remote flexibility as outlined.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Business or Public Administration, Behavioral or Social Sciences, Finance, Political Science or any degree demonstrating the capacity for the knowledge and skills
- five years’ professional-level evaluative, analytical and planning work*
- Any combination of experience and education equivalent to eight years of experience*
