Job Summary
Lead architecture and delivery of production AI systems (including document intelligence, intelligent knowledge systems, and agentic orchestration) at iCapital; own AI projects end-to-end from problem scoping to deployment and continuous improvement; drive technical design and architectural decisions for the AI/ML platform; establish evaluation frameworks with rigorous metrics and reproducibility; partner with Product, Operations, Legal, and Business teams to identify AI opportunities and communicate tradeoffs; mentor engineers and raise team capability; identify systemic problems and reduce technical debt to increase velocity; require 7+ years in production AI/ML, strong Python and AWS experience, and expertise in LLMs, IDP, or ML system design; FinTech domain knowledge and open-source contributions are valued; compensation includes base salary $170k-$200k with equity and bonus; in-office Mon-Thu with remote Friday.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience developing production AI/ML systems
- Hands-on experience with AWS or cloud-native development patterns for AI/ML workloads
- Strong proficiency in Python
- Experience with at least one of: LLM-based systems, document intelligence/IDP, ML system design
- Experience designing end-to-end ML pipelines (training, deployment, monitoring, iteration)
- Solid fundamentals in statistics and experimentation
- Experience leading technical design and mentoring engineers
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for cross-functional settings
- Experience with multi-domain AI workflows and cost/latency optimization for LLM inference
- Prior experience in financial services or FinTech, especially document-heavy or compliance-sensitive domains
- Contributions to open-source projects or published technical writing
