Job Summary
Drive articulated trucks with over 3-ton capacity to transport materials to and from specified destinations, applying commercial driving regulations and area road knowledge. Prepare receipts for loads, collect payments for goods and delivery charges, and maintain truck logs per state and federal regulations. Load and unload trucks, inspect equipment including tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil, and water, and perform emergency roadside repairs such as changing tires or installing light bulbs. Position blocks and tie rope to secure cargo during transit. Maintain telephone or radio contact with supervisors for delivery instructions. Work 1 to 3 years of experience required with a high school diploma or GED. Required Qualifications

- Certification License required
- 1 to 3 yrs. experience
- Read and interpret road maps

- Judge distances and weights accurately
- Make decisions based on verifiable standards
- Stoop, bend, and crouch
- Use hands, arms, and legs fully
- See well (either naturally or with correction)
- Lift up to 50 pounds
- Frequent lifting and carrying of objects weighing up to 25 pounds
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
