Job Summary
Article Control Specialist responsible for conducting plausibility checks on new items to ensure data integrity across product item codes and information systems. Performs data review of technical specifications and engineering drawings, evaluates duplication against existing product items, ensures accurate tariff codes per trade compliance, collaborates with Sales, Engineering, Purchasing, and Quoting to support product setup and quoting, and travels occasionally for training and collaboration with global teams. Requires strong Excel and ERP/SAP experience, ability to read technical drawings, and a high level of ownership and organization. On-site role across multiple U.S. locations.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Engineering technologist/technician degree or strong technical background strongly preferred
- Experience working with standard fasteners and custom per-print items
- Proven ability to read and interpret technical drawings with a high degree of accuracy
- Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems is advantageous
- Ability to travel occasionally, both domestically and internationally, to collaborate with teams and participate in training related to product item code setup and processes
