Job Summary
Safely operate company tractor-trailer units for long-distance, Over-The-Road (OTR) routes and perform all required pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip truck inspections. Collaborate with your driving partner and internal teams to plan, organize, load, and unload trucks, ensuring the optimal safety and security of objects during transit. Ensure compliance with all local, state, and DOT regulations, maintaining an excellent driving record and adhering to all security procedures. Handle and move artworks, including wrapping, packing, and crating using appropriate industry-standard techniques and materials. Act as a professional liaison while on-site between clients, institutions, and company management, and conduct accurate inspection reports for various types of art objects.
Required Qualifications
- Valid CLASS A CDL driver's license
- Good driving record
- At least 21 years old
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations
- Long-haul safety procedures
- Secure transport methods
- Safe, efficient driving skills
- Excellent customer service
- Verbal communication skills
- Ability to pass a pre-employment substance abuse screening
- Ability to pass a background check
- Ability to pass a DOT physical
- Physical ability to safely lift at least 70 pounds
- Ability to push/pull cargo
- Ability to sustain walk, stand, and sit for extended periods of time
