Job Summary
Facilitate one-hour art therapy sessions weekly for veterans managing brain/spinal cord injuries and PTSD, utilizing creativity to enhance cognitive abilities and assist those with cognitive and physical limitations. Conduct intakes, oversee individual and occasional family therapies, perform mental health assessments, and develop adaptive treatment plans with regular reviews. Maintain comprehensive documentation in line with federal and state guidelines and contribute to interdisciplinary team meetings. Requires certification as a Registered Art Therapist or Provisional Registered Art Therapist, a Master's degree, valid driver's license, and clean background checks. Mileage and preapproved expenses are reimbursed.
Required Qualifications
- Certification as a Registered Art Therapist (ATR) or Registered Board-Certified Art Therapist (ATR-BC)
- OR a Provisional Registered Art Therapist
- Master's degree in Art Therapy or related counseling field, with master's level Art Therapy certification
- Proficient computer skills
- Valid driver's license and clean background and driver's record checks
- Background check and driver's record check
