Job Summary
Facilitate one-hour art therapy sessions weekly for veterans managing brain/spinal cord injuries and PTSD, using creativity to enhance cognitive abilities and assist those with physical limitations. Conduct intakes, oversee individual and occasional family therapies, develop and adapt treatment plans, and perform mental health assessments. Maintain comprehensive documentation in line with federal and state guidelines while actively contributing to interdisciplinary team meetings. Requires certification as a Registered Art Therapist or Provisional Registered Art Therapist, a master's degree, and valid driver's license. Part-time role with flexible schedule, on-the-road location, and reimbursement for mileage and preapproved expenses.
Required Qualifications
- Certification as a Registered Art Therapist (ATR) or Registered Board-Certified Art Therapist (ATR-BC)
- OR a Provisional Registered Art Therapist
- Master's degree in Art Therapy or related counseling field, with master's level Art Therapy certification
- Proficient computer skills
- Valid driver's license and clean background and driver's record checks
- Background check and driver's record check
