Job Summary
Art Teacher for Staunton City Schools at Shenandoah Valley Juvenile Center for the 2026-27 academic year. Delivers instruction aligned with state Standards of Learning (SOL), plans objectives and lessons for students and substitutes, uses technology to support learning, maintains records, communicates learning goals to students and parents, and provides ongoing feedback. Requires a bachelor's degree with Virginia teacher licensure eligibility and a valid teaching certificate, ability to work with diverse learners, and commitment to professional development and ethical standards; position is an 11-month contract with duties including collaboration with staff and adherence to school policies.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree with appropriate certification for teaching assignment from an accredited college or university
