Job Summary
Art Teacher responsible for planning, organizing, and presenting instruction aligned with the North Carolina Standard Course of Study. Responsibilities include delivering the prescribed curriculum, using instructional materials suitable for a range of learners, communicating with parents, maintaining records, collaborating with staff, integrating technology (Smartboard and related tools), and contributing to school-wide activities and professional development. Demonstrates ability to manage instructional time, student behavior, and data-based planning within an art education program and supports integration of content across the regular curriculum.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college/university
- Must hold a North Carolina license in Art Education (00810) or be eligible for a license
- Possesses knowledge/ability to teach North Carolina Standard Course of Study/Essential Standards
- Experience with Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) and Smartboard technology may be present in duties
