Job Summary
Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate art lessons aligned with diocesan standards while integrating Catholic values, traditions, and liturgical seasons into projects. Teach artistic techniques, media, and art history concepts, differentiating instruction to meet diverse learning needs. Maintain a safe, organized classroom environment and establish clear expectations for behavior and material care. Evaluate student progress in artistic skills, provide constructive feedback to parents, and maintain accurate performance records. Collaborate with classroom teachers on interdisciplinary projects and assist with school events, liturgies, and student art exhibits. Manage art supplies and budget responsibly while participating in faculty meetings and professional development. Uphold school policies and diocesan guidelines, modeling Gospel values in interactions with students and staff.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Art Education or related field
- Valid state teaching license (or ability to obtain)
- Practicing Catholic
- Knowledge of child development and elementary instructional strategies
- Strong classroom management and organizational skills
- Ability to integrate faith and learning
- Ability to stand, move around the classroom, and assist students
- Ability to lift and organize art materials and supplies
