Art Teacher

Art Teacher at Marion Community Schools responsible for creating an educational program and classroom environment that is multicultural, gender-fair, and disability-sensitive while supporting student learning. Essential duties include acquiring knowledge of school goals, establishing developmentally appropriate instructional expectations, creating engaging lessons and safe learning environments, delivering required curricula using thinking and problem-solving strategies, collaborating with families, assessing student development using multiple forms of assessment, fostering positive interactions, evaluating instructional effectiveness, and participating in ongoing professional development and collaboration with peers to implement best practices. The role requires knowledge of ethics, state curriculum standards, and district plans, and the ability to plan, organize, communicate clearly, maintain confidentiality, and build effective relationships with students and the community.
