Job Summary
Develop and implement lesson plans for in-person, distance, and virtual learning that fulfill the district curriculum and accommodate diverse student needs; assess student learning, modify curricula with SPED staff as needed (IEP); manage classroom behavior; collaborate with staff and parents; supervise instructional aides/volunteers; sponsor outside activities; ensure safety and compliance with TEA policies and district regulations; communicate professionally with stakeholders and participate in faculty development.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from accredited university
- Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements or related training and work experience for certification waivers under the District of Innovation Plan (DOI)
- Demonstrated competency in the core academic subject area assigned
- AED and CPR certificate for Physical Education Teachers
