Job Summary
Teach children in a fun environment with high teacher-student ratios, delivering engaging, skill-based art programmes tailored to individual student needs during term time and a holiday art programme. Continuously evaluate student progress to prepare personalised learning plans while maintaining strong relationships with students and parents. Support studio operations by ordering materials, mentoring assistants, and tracking growth metrics to uphold brand standards. Foster local community connections and coordinate events to promote the studio, ensuring compliance with GDPR and child safeguarding policies. Work 15 hours weekly on Mondays, Thursdays, and Sundays, with optional holiday overtime.
Required Qualifications
- Holds an art degree or equivalent experience across a range of artistic mediums
- Has experience teaching or working with children in an educational or creative setting
- Possesses strong communication skills, including the ability to empathise with others, to engage effectively with students, parents, and colleagues
- Exhibits a positive, proactive attitude and works well both independently and as part of a team
- Available to work the full schedule
- Able to start on 12/10/2026
- Ability to submit a traditional art portfolio (PDF or online link) of tonal drawings and paintings demonstrating perspective, form, and techniques
- Ability to answer questions regarding who they enjoyed working with, who they looked up to in their last job and why, and what they are passionate about
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and vulnerable adults
- Satisfactory completion of all pre-appointment checks
