Job Summary
Art Teacher role focused on delivering core subject instruction at assigned campus. Responsibilities include developing and implementing lessons aligned with district curriculum, creating written lesson plans, assessing student learning, and planning accommodations for diverse learners. Collaborates with special education staff to modify curricula per IEPs, sets instructional goals with colleagues, and supervises instructional aides/volunteers. Manages classroom behavior per Student Code of Conduct, creates conducive learning environments, and participates in professional development. Communicates with parents and community, supports extracurricular activities, and adheres to district safety and policies. Position requires a Bachelor’s degree and a valid Texas teaching certificate with endorsements; ESL endorsement/certification required for selected subjects; reports to the principal; exempt status.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from accredited university
- Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements or required training for subject and level assigned (ESL endorsement / certification required for selected subjects)
- Demonstrated competency in the core academic subject area assigned
