Job Summary
Create a classroom culture of high achievement and student ownership that fosters intellectual, social, and emotional development. Provide daily instruction with clear learning outcomes, well-designed lessons, and high-quality assessments aligned to Friendship's curriculum and standards. Incorporate creative, hands-on learning experiences that broaden student exposure, foster ingenuity, and require application of acquired knowledge. Maintain a visually appealing environment rich with curriculum-aligned resources and displays of exemplary student work. Communicate regularly with families to identify student needs and update parents on achievements and progress. Collaborate with school-based staff and throughout the Friendship network in meetings and professional learning sessions.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university
- Three years of teaching experience
- Results demonstrating high student achievement
- Significant growth
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Professional background in one or more of the following types of Art: Instrumental Music, Photography, Graphics Arts, Technical Design, Theatre Production
