Job Summary
Plan and teach art classes to individuals of all skill levels, developing lesson plans and instructional materials that align with the YMCA's mission. Create a positive and engaging learning environment that encourages creativity and self-expression while providing individualized instruction and feedback to students. Maintain a safe and clean classroom environment and communicate with students regarding class schedules, expectations, and progress. Attend staff meetings and training sessions as required. Must stay current in CPR/AED/O2 and First Aid, renewed annually.
Required Qualifications
- Must stay current in CPR/AED/O2 and First Aid, renewed annually
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Previous experience teaching art classes to individuals of all ages and skill levels
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to create a positive and engaging learning environment
- Knowledge of various art techniques and mediums
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
