Job Summary
Safely transport, install, and reposition fine art, antiques, and high-value objects throughout the gallery, client homes, and off-site locations. Prepare artwork for shipment using archival packing materials and custom crating techniques. Load, unload, receive, inspect, and document artwork to maintain accurate inventory. Deliver and install pieces in client residences while supporting gallery merchandising, exhibition installations, and trade show setups. Perform minor frame touch-ups and maintain company vehicles and work areas. Requires a valid driver's license, 3+ years of experience handling fragile objects, and ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Full-time rotating schedule with seasonal seven-day operation during peak times.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
- 3+ years of professional experience handling, transporting, packing, or installing fine art, antiques, or other high-value, fragile objects.
- Experience safely operating material handling equipment and using hand and power tools.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to protecting valuable artwork.
- Excellent customer service, communication, and organizational skills.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience handling museum-quality or one-of-a-kind artwork and antiques.
- Experience operating a 26-foot box truck or similar commercial vehicle.
- Basic carpentry, crate construction, fabrication, or artwork installation experience.
- Chauffeur's license or the ability to obtain one.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Art, Art History, Museum Studies, Conservation, or a related field.
