Job Summary
Lead visual execution of assigned projects by imagining ways to tell stories, presenting ideas internally and to clients, and overseeing mood boards, type treatments, and page layouts. Translate conceptual strategies into impactful solutions through iterative design of presentations, paid web posts, and print ads while mentoring designers and directing external collaborators. Manage workload delegation to senior designers and provide pointed feedback to improve visual quality across digital and print media. Research and build a mental reference library of styles and trends to inspire creative concepts for both client and internal initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional work experience in the art industry
- 5+ years of experience with Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Figma) and modern digital publishing platforms such as Webflow
- An experienced creative portfolio demonstrating mastery of design principles - specifically typography, grid systems, layout hierarchy, color theory, and art direction for both digital and print media
- Experienced managing designers including delegating tasks, giving constructive feedback, and overseeing visual quality
- Experience commissioning and directing external creative partners including photographers, illustrators, animators and external development teams
- Experience presenting visual strategies and creative direction to executive-level clients and company partners
- Visual research skills, with a rich, active mental library of contemporary and historical art, design, photography, and interactive digital trends
- This is a hybrid role, reporting to the Director, Design
- You can typically expect to be in the office 3 days per week
Desired Qualifications
- Working knowledge of front-end web technologies (HTML/CSS) and an understanding of dynamic layout capabilities, responsive design, and digital motion/animation principles
- Experience in luxury, editorial, or prestige brand storytelling, with a deep appreciation for high-end aesthetic stewardship and cultural context
- Experience prioritizing competing programs, responsibilities, and projects
- Experience working in a collaborative design space/team
