Job Summary
Perform x-ray testing using body mechanics and patient movement while operating diagnostic equipment, developing film, and preparing rooms with necessary supplies. Greet patients, communicate wait times, and provide direction for treatment steps, while promptly addressing emergent or hazardous situations. Execute follow-up calls, assist front desk personnel with check-in/out, and obtain vital signs, history, and medication information. Assist with patient transfers, procedures supervised by providers, and quality control to ensure exam standards. Maintain equipment functionality, follow documentation procedures, and ensure proper radiation protection and shielding techniques. Keep current licensure and certification, and maintain diagnostic imaging knowledge through educational resources.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- BLS Certification
- AR State X-Ray License
Desired Qualifications
- ARRT Certification preferred
- Experience as a Medical Assistant is preferred
