Job Summary
The Construction Superintendent at Aro Homes oversees the full construction process for projects, ensuring completion on time and within budget while adhering to quality and safety standards. Key responsibilities include promoting a safety culture, managing project schedules and budgets, conducting quality inspections, mentoring teams, and applying Lean construction principles for continuous improvement. Candidates should have extensive experience in single-family construction, prior supervisory experience, and training in safety protocols. A strong focus on collaboration, communication, and problem-solving skills is essential.
Required Qualifications
- At least 6 years of general construction experience in the single family residential space.
- 3+ years as a Superintendent with a successful tracker record.
- OSHA 30 certification.
- Advanced understanding of all stages of the homebuilding process including permitting, horizontal construction, vertical construction, quality standards, and construction requirements.
- Proven experience managing multiple construction projects simultaneously.
- Demonstrated experience with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the US construction field.
- Strong ability to read, interpret, and apply field installation drawings and floor plans.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage on-site teams effectively.
- Heavy career focus on safety and quality.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to speed, quality and safety.
- Demonstrated proficiency in digital project management systems. (e.g. Procore, Buildertrend, P6, Jira)
Desired Qualifications
- Relevant certifications (e.g. First Aid/CPR) preferred.
- Experience in industrialized construction.
- Experience in advanced work packaging.
- Experience at an early-stage or growth startup.
- Experience with lean, agile, or pull planning.
- 5+ years of experience within a prefab/modular company.
