Job Summary
Lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of Aro Homes’ health, safety, environmental, and compliance programs across plant and field operations. Partner with senior leadership to define safety goals, monitor performance, and drive accountability. Oversee safety programs for manufacturing and field construction, conduct regular inspections and risk assessments, lead investigations and corrective actions, develop and deliver training, and ensure documentation and regulatory compliance. Requires a Bachelor’s degree in a related field, 7+ years of experience in safety/environmental/compliance, OSHA/Cal/OSHA/EPA knowledge, OSHA 30 certification, and willingness to travel between plant and sites.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health and Safety, Occupational Safety, Industrial Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred. Equivalent experience may be considered.
- Minimum of 7 or more years of progressive health, safety, environmental, or compliance experience in manufacturing, construction, modular construction, industrial operations, or a related environment.
- Strong working knowledge of OSHA, Cal/OSHA, EPA, hazardous materials, waste management, injury prevention, incident investigation, emergency response, and safety documentation requirements.
- Experience leading safety audits, risk assessments, root cause investigations, corrective action programs, and safety training.
- OSHA 30 certification required. CHST, CSP, ASP, or equivalent safety certification preferred. CPR, First Aid, and AED certification required or ability to obtain shortly after hire.
- Strong communication, coaching, facilitation, and report-writing skills. Ability to present safety performance, risks, and recommendations clearly to senior leadership and operational teams.
