Job Summary
The Area Superintendent will lead residential construction projects, overseeing field teams to ensure high-quality standards, safety compliance, and project timelines are met. Responsibilities include promoting a culture of safety, providing training and coaching for team development, and establishing quality control standards. Successful candidates will have a track record in construction management with at least 8 years in the field, strong leadership abilities, and proficiency in project management systems. The role requires excellent problem-solving skills and a commitment to continuous improvement.
Required Qualifications
- At least 8 years of general construction experience in the single-family residential space.
- At least 3 years of experience as a manager or team leader.
- OSHA 30 certification.
- Proven ability to train and support teams across multiple construction sites.
- Heavy career focus on safety and quality.
- Demonstrated experience with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the US construction field.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to speed, quality and safety.
- Demonstrated proficiency in digital project management systems (e.g. Procore, Buildertrend, P6, Jira).
- Strong internal drive & motivation.
- Bias for Action.
- Growth mindset.
Desired Qualifications
- Relevant certifications (e.g. First Aid/CPR) preferred.
- Experience in industrialized construction.
- Experience at an early-stage or growth startup.
- Experience with lean, agile, or pull planning.
- Experience within a prefab/modular company.
