Job Summary
Conduct new and established patient assessments for substance use disorders, including opioids, alcohol, stimulants, and sedatives. Initiate and manage patients on buprenorphine and other maintenance medications, administering long-acting injectables as needed. Monitor treatment response by adjusting medications and reviewing lab results while collaborating with behavioral health and care coordination teams. Document all interactions appropriately in the eCW EMR and deliver care both in-person and via telemedicine. Provide life-changing care throughout the continuum of recovery from initial stabilization to long-term maintenance.
Required Qualifications
- Active, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license
- Active DEA license
- Strong and efficient communication and documentation skills
- Commitment to compassionate, patient-centered addiction care
- 100% on-site work at the Renton clinic
- 4x10-hour shifts (7:30 AM – 6:00 PM, Monday–Thursday)
- Full-Time, 40 hours per week (W-2) employment
- In-person care delivery
- Telemedicine care delivery
- EMR documentation in eCW system
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with buprenorphine and other maintenance medications for substance use disorders
- Experience administering long-acting injectable medications (buprenorphine, naltrexone)
- Experience monitoring response to treatment and adjusting medications
- Experience reviewing lab results
- Collaboration with behavioral health and care coordination teams
- Experience with ASAM membership
- Experience with UpToDate license
- Experience with reimbursement for Continuing Medical Education (CME) expenses
