Job Summary
Groomer at Arnold Vet Hospital to provide professional pet grooming services (bathing, drying, brushing, clipping, trimming, nail trimming, ear cleaning) for small animals, while communicating with clients and hospital staff. Role collaborates with the vet-hospital team, supports operations, and emphasizes safety and animal welfare. Part-time with potential to grow into full-time; flexible scheduling in a hospital environment. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum of 1 year of professional grooming experience in a veterinary hospital, pet salon, or similar environment required
- Demonstrated proficiency in breed-specific cuts, coat maintenance, and safe grooming techniques
- Strong understanding of animal behavior and handling
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Compassionate, patient, and attentive to detail
- Ability to manage time effectively and work independently with minimal supervision
- Must be able to stand, bend, or lift up to 50 pounds for extended periods
- Reliable and professional in both appearance and demeanor
- Certification from an accredited grooming program is preferred but not required
