Job Summary
Conduct land surveys, make maps, and prepare detailed plans for construction projects using Computer Aided Drafting systems and Automated Integrated Survey Instruments. Perform field and laboratory tests on construction materials, draw topographic charts, and create diagrams for wiring and plumbing. Build scale models of land areas to visualize hills, lakes, roads, and buildings while providing technical support for vertical and horizontal construction projects. Requires 10 weeks of Basic Combat Training and 17 weeks of Advanced Individual Training. Candidates must be 17 to 34 years old, meet height/weight standards, and have no felony history or DUI.
Required Qualifications
- Must have an interest in joining the Army
- 17 to 34 years old
- Must be able to meet height/weight requirements
- No tattoos on hands, face, or above the neck (ring tattoos are acceptable)
- No history of a felony level offense or DUI
- No major medical procedures that would prohibit you from service
