Armory Work Center Maintenance Manager

Job Summary
Conduct assessments, diagnostics, preventive, and corrective maintenance on Combat Weapons Systems, Visual Augmentation Systems, and associated weapon accessories. Manage inventory control, procurement, receipt, issue, and accountability of weapons, repair parts, and ancillary equipment while generating usage reports and maintaining DD Form 1149 documentation. Provide direct oversight to customer service representatives, evaluate serviceability of returned equipment, and ensure compliance with security, safety, and Department of Defense requirements. Travel 10% for training and operational assessments. Requires active Secret clearance, three years of small arms repair experience, and ability to lift 75 pounds.
Required Qualifications
- US Citizen
- Valid U.S. driver's license
- Must hold an active Secret Security Clearance
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively
- Must accurately enter and track data across systems
- Must be able to obtain and maintain installation access
- Minimum three (3) years of experience repairing small arms and associated weapon systems
- Demonstrated knowledge of Combat Weapons Systems (CWS), Visual Augmentation Systems (VAS), weapon accessories, maintenance procedures, troubleshooting techniques, and repair requirements
- Experience conducting inspections, diagnostics, maintenance, and repair of military or law enforcement weapons systems
- Experience supporting inventory management, accountability, storage, receipt, issue, and documentation of controlled equipment
- Experience maintaining repair records, inventory accountability documentation, and weapons maintenance reports
- Must meet Lautenberg Amendment (Gun Control Act of 1968) requirements
- Must be willing and able to complete the Naval Special Warfare Enhanced Organizational Level Armorer Course at the earliest available opportunity if not previously certified
- Strong troubleshooting, mechanical repair, inventory accountability, and documentation skills
- Ability to supervise work center activities and coordinate maintenance requirements in support of operational commitments
- Ability to lift and move items up to 75 pounds
- Ability to stand, bend, and work in confined or equipment-dense environments
- Ability to perform hands-on mechanical repairs and inspections
- Ability to perform work in armory and warehouse environments
- Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
