Job Summary
Armorer Lead role overseeing a team of armorers and armory technicians in the Build Department. Responsible for safety, quality, and productivity, maintaining daily production targets and KPIs, leading daily safety meetings, implementing and auditing SOPs, performing firearms assembly tasks as needed, coordinating with Armory Technician personnel on equipment issues, applying lean tools to improve processes, and mentoring staff to uphold high integrity and a positive work environment. Requires a high school diploma or GED, 1–2 years of leadership experience, and proficiency in firearm assembly and MS Office. Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and operate in a manufacturing setting are expected.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Demonstrated competency at Armory Technician 3 level (Armorer 1-3 and Armory Technician 1-3 career path)
- 1–2 years of leadership or team lead experience
- Demonstrated expertise in firearm assembly and assembly line technology
- Ability to train, develop, and mentor team members at all armorer/armory technician levels
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and reporting/documentation
- Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and handle pressure
- Willingness to work extra hours as needed
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to machinery, noise, and chemicals
- Strong teamwork and effective communication across levels of leadership and staff
