Job Summary
Armed Transportation Officer responsible for secure transport, guarding, supervision, and escort of detainees in federal detention/transport operations. Must meet minimum qualifications (21+, US citizen or LPR, HS diploma/GED, valid SSN, pass drug/background checks) and possess or pursue required credentials (CDL preferred; BSIS Guard Card and Exposed Firearms Permit; 9mm qualification preferred). Prior law enforcement/military/police or security experience in custody transport required (6 months minimum; 1 year broad work experience demonstrating professional interaction, instruction-following, and ability to manage emergencies). Bilingual English/Spanish preferred; federal clearance or federal-contract experience preferred. Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Must be a United States Citizen or Lawful Permanent Resident
- Must possess a valid Social Security Card issued by the SSA
- Must possess a High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Pre-employment drug screening and background investigation
- Commercial Driver's License (CDL) preferred
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) candidates preferred
- Prior federal clearance or experience with federal contracts preferred
- BSIS Guard Card and BSIS Exposed Firearms Permit (9mm qualification preferred)
- Minimum six (6) months of experience as a Law Enforcement Officer/Military Police/Security Officer in custody or transport of detainees
- One (1) year general work experience demonstrating professional interaction, ability to follow written/verbal instructions, and handling emergencies
- Physical fitness to perform duties
