Job Summary
Conduct armed and/or unarmed foot and/or vehicle patrols of designated interior and exterior areas. Monitor CCTV and alarm systems, control access and egress, and permit authorized entry while observing departing personnel to prevent theft. Sound alarms or call police/fire for unauthorized persons or fires, warn violators of infractions, and investigate incidents to prepare written reports and maintain logs. Aid visitors and employees professionally, make emergency notifications per site orders, and provide productivity and security survey recommendations to management. Requires military or law enforcement experience with an honorable discharge, a valid driver's license, and ability to operate radio/telephone equipment. Irregular shifts with little advance notice may apply.
Required Qualifications
- Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent
- Service in Military Occupational Specialty related to law enforcement, security (such as Military Police, Elite Military Forces, combat arms) or any support role in a Combat Zone
- Graduate of a Certified Public Safety Academy (military or civilian) or verified work experience in the law enforcement, adult corrections, or firefighter field
- Bachelor's degree in law enforcement or criminal justice related studies
- A minimum of 8 or more years of service in any military branch
- Associate's degree (or 60 credits) or higher in law enforcement or criminal justice with current or prior active military service
- Be at least 18 years of age, or higher if required by the state (21 years, if armed)
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only
- Be able to operate radio or telephone equipment and/or console monitors
