Job Summary
Protect personnel and property professionally while tactfully interacting with the public and processing visitors. Conduct internal and external roving foot patrols, identify rule violators, and provide first aid or CPR during emergencies. Complete all required reports and paperwork, maintain familiarity with building layouts and emergency equipment locations, and remain on post until properly relieved. This part-time DCSPO Armed position requires LEOSA certification, 10 years of law enforcement experience, and physical ability to perform life operational functions in inclement weather.
Required Qualifications
- LEOSA certified
- 10 years experience in Law Enforcement (Police not Security) or Military Police
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- US Citizen with a valid social security card
- Must possess a minimum of a High School diploma or equivalent
- Must be available to work a flexible schedule
- Must possess the visual acuity necessary to prepare records and reports and operate a computer terminal (if applicable)
- Must possess manual dexterity to operate standard office, data entry, and computer equipment (if applicable)
- Must be able to physically perform the basic life operational functions of climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, fingering, grasping, feeling, and repetitive motions
